Information Pre-Sale tickets for all League
Varsity contests will be $6 for adults and $4 for students.
All prices at the gate will be $6. Anyone that takes a seat
will be charged for admission. Junior High contests will cost
$3 for adults and $2 for students.
The Varsity Football Team lost to a tough St. Mary’s team this weekend by the score of 13-7.
The Offensive was led by Adam Neth, Colin Beer and Cole Palmer.Neth led the team in rushing while Beer was 4 for 5 passing for 46 yards and 1 Touchdown.Cole Palmer had three receptions and caught a Touchdown.Palmer also added extra point and did a solid job blocking on the perimeter.
Defensively the Yellow Jackets were led by RJ Heins and Zyler White..Heins led the team with 11 tackles while white had 9 tackles and broke up several pass plays.
Also doing a nice job on the evening was Aaron Burns who averaged 37 yards a punt.
The Varsity Football Team will be back in action this Friday when they take on Bellefontaine here at Sidney H.S. game time is 7:30 P.M.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL RESULTS...
Sidney Varsity and JV Volleyball played their first two matches of the season at Minster on Saturday. Sidney played Minster first and lost 5-25 and 8-25. After the lost Sidney competed against Graham. The first set was lost 9-25 but we rallied back during the second game, were ahead by 3 points during the middle and suffered a loss of 15-25. JV lost to Minster but Won their first Match over Graham, so congratulations to them.

The Sidney Lady Jackets dropped a tough non-league game on Saturday night against Celina, 4-3. Sidney led 1-0 at half-time with the only goal of the half coming from Brittney Koester with the assist given by Lauren Elmore. We definitely controlled the ball most of the first half, we were just unable to convert our many shots. Sidney came out very flat in the second half, giving up a goal in the first two minutes. 10 minutes later, Celina converted two more goals in a matter of 3 minutes. We just weren’t ready to play in the second half and we had to make some defensive changes due to injuries. However, the jackets battled back when Konner Harris scored from the outside and Brittney Koester was able to get her second goal off of a header from a free-kick taken by Taylor Rickert. I thought we battled until the end, but were unable to get that last goal to tie. Celina is a good team, but I thought our girls played very hard. The junior varsity also lost with a score of 2-1.
The Cross Country teams competed in the Bob Schul Invite at Milton Union. The girl's team placed 14th of 18 overall with Heather West finishing just 42 seconds shy of the 13 year old girl's school record. She placed 19th in 21:15 with Taylor Heffner coming in next in 79th place with 25:25. Valerie Cook placed 103rd overall in 27:23, Danielle Cooper placed 118th and Mikell Stevens was 119th both in 30:19. Excellent performance ladies!!!
Jon Clinard and Alex Bowman led the boys as the team finished 14th of 24 teams. In a time of 18:26 Jon placed 43rd while Alex placed 44th right next to him. Marshal Evans finished next in 82nd place with 19:33, Lovepreet Singh in 125th with 20:49, Steven Jones was 136th with 21:08, Matt Schwarzman was 150th with 21:39, Jacob Kerrigan was 152nd with 21:42, John Cook was 172nd in 22:40, Alex Hale was 179th in 23:37 and Willie Clark at 190th in 24:53. Great races guys!
The teams compete again tomorrow at Anna Elementary for the Shelby County Preview. Come out and support the teams with the girls race beginning at 6:30 pm. Good luck teams!
